In the ACA (Affordable Care Act), under essential health benefits (EHB), there are comprehensive packages of services that all individuals and services must offer.

The one I want to refer to here is your preventive and wellness maintenance guidelines. These are free to you once every calendar year. As we approach August, I think of kids returning to school, camp physicals, athletic physicals, etc., and how can I help you with this.

First and foremost, I am adamant about preventive maintenance. On everything I own, and just for the fun of it, I put myself on the top of my list. Please go in once a year, it’s free. Get the screenings that are appropriate for your gender and age. You’ll have your base information on file moving forward. This helps the medical professionals when you have an illness or injury. As school starts and you need these physicals for the kids, this might be a “freebie” that you are overlooking and in a timely manner, could serve more than one purpose.
