What is an HSA?

  • Health Insurance
  • Health Savings Account
  • Healthcare updates

Fourth quarter is just around the corner and what that means to you is September is a good month to prepare.

Fourth quarter is when you will be making decisions for health plans effective January 1. For individuals under 65 that have a plan that was written prior to January 1, 2014, you will see no change. I encourage you to keep those plans for as long as you possibly can.

If you are under 65 and have a plan that was written after January 1, 2014 (an ACA plan), it is likely that you will be losing your coverage January 1. If that is true, we need to find solutions for you. That could be employer-based plans. If you are self-employed, and if you meet the eligibility requirements of small group, you have an opportunity there. If that is the case, you would be able to opt for many plan choices. One choice that might be appealing to you would be an HSA (Health Savings Account).

I’m providing you this short video to tell you about the advantages of an HSA account. If this is NOT suitable for you, we have many plans we can look at, but give this plan consideration in preparation for our free consultation.
